MUSE-THE RESISTANCE

mmm .... difficult to try to synthesize an album like this. The Muse (Matt, Chris, Dominic) is a power-trio now established as the point of reference for the Rock. They are mature, have chased the ghost of Radiohead from their lives and now own light shine. All this was already understood to be "Black Holes and Revelations" released three years ago for Helium 3 and quickly became a cornerstone of the music. But "the Resistance" Muse dare even more, looking for that "something" was missing the first three years. The single Uprising is widely considered more closely, both for the sound and structure, the old 2006 album and you certainly can not blame (especially if you remember "Knights of Cydonia"), but the rest of ' album cut opera that is their logical evolution. Imprisoned for three years in their rehearsal room at Lake Como, and working hard alongside the symphonic orchestra of La Scala in Milan, Matt Bellamy, leader, singer and guitarist of the band, managed to express his love for classical music ( and the Queen) and tie it with its rock roots. MK Ultra is a powerful blend of rock and synth, Guiding Light has a charm that disrupts play and to finish there Exogenis, mini-opera in three parts that accompany the listener to the grand finale. In the final vote of the album can only be positive, except for a dangerous intrusion into the world of R'n B, the track number 3, Undisclosed Desires, has a rhythm "timbaland-style" potrbbe suggest that bad. Man is by nature suspicious, and before someone thinks these experiments as a sordid commercial operation by the second single. But instead of talking to the suspicious part of me, I prefer to enjoy the entire album and not think about anything. For all the rest .. we'll see.
