"I wanted to take this occa sion to scan the landscape of American films devoted to this topic to choose those (and there are few compared to others) that have a positive matrix.
In fact, the American kind, which comes from a belligerent country, brings a thought alien to the thought of just war, or disaster. We have the bad aliens of Independence Day, Alien those of even the most ironic of Men in Black. But they always share the characteristic of wanting to destroy the world and the human race. I wanted instead to oppose them, the enigmatic and little creatures of positive close encounters, the amount of light Cocoon, the much-loved ET as we all know, and as close to us in appearance, Klaatu of The Day the Terrra. I also wanted to reflect the theme of "different" that embody these characters very well.
If we are unable to accept the difference in our world, how to behave with a different that is from another planet? " Irene Vezzi.

Antareani hundred centuries ago came from outer space created nell'Atlantide their base. He died that territory, twenty of them, to ensure sacrificatisi boarding on a spaceship to the greatest number of their companions disappeared into the depths of the sea. Today, Walter, an old and solid Antar, is in our world, with two boys and a girl (All of its people but with human features) to recover those lost souls. Rent for a month and then a boat used for offshore fishing conducted by pilot Jack Bonner and, for the same period of time, a swimming pool located in a pavilion in the park of a wealthy retirement. Daily Walter and his are at sea until they pull up from the depths of the ocean a kind of huge boulders encrusted with coral and shells, to deposit them carefully into the pool. But in the nursing home there are three old, Art, Ben and Joe are in no way prepared to abandon the usual refreshing swim. You will find that the pool, and those cocoons hidden on the bottom, the three will have unexpected benefits ..
Great interpretation of the older actors in the film. Notable in particular proof of Don Ameche, who embodies the Latin lover (the role entrusted to him several times in the thirties and forties) in this case, courting and dancing like a boy. The film is not boring, it's enjoyable, accompanied by pleasant music and guess that surround the lives of our Arzilli old men. Particular is the scene of the "strip" dell'antareana, in front of voyeur Jack shows us in an exemplary way how it could be the reaction of an individual facing the "different".
