PRODUCTION NOTES
The Band of the Brazilian stems from a dual need: to describe a form of social malaise, a generational clash underground and dangerous to do so through that vehicle once it was natural and direct expression, the Italian crime cinema.
La Banda Brazil is therefore a kind of detective story, with all the typical elements of tradition. But also a reflection on the difficulties of shooting a cop and now a bitter comedy and nostalgia, an era, the seventies, for personal reasons we could not live.
La Banda Brazil is also an attempt to talk about things like job insecurity, flexibility or lack of ideals, without telling the usual stories of call centers and thirty-somethings in crisis.
is a film about a generation that is incapable of giving form to their anger, which remains mired in the mud of an old country, hostile, stubborn. Humiliated a generation that is all behind closed doors and sits in the waiting room, drowning in frustration and precisely the same sarcasm. The Band of the Brazilian model borrows the language of a fierce and irreverent cinema to tell the struggle of this generation totally disillusioned, looking for conflict and combat with their enemies, but is the victim of his own ineptitude and lack conviction.

SHORT SYNOPSIS
Among the factories on the outskirts of Prato is found the lifeless body of a ten year old boy, died previously. The next day, at an office of Vaiano, an employee of fifty years, Massimo Gori, is kidnapped by a group of guys.
Inspector Brozzi, close to retirement, is responsible for monitoring the case, along with the young Vannini and inexperienced.
Suspicion falls on "the Brazilian band", which previously tried - clumsily - to kidnap others. The kidnappers are four guys in their thirties: Blondie, the dumb, the Stray and Brazil. The motive of the kidnapping is actually quite unusual.
